1 min read

In a world of poor mental health, increasing pressure on schools and results and young people, culture wars, social media, how can spirituality provide one antidote to the social issues we face?

In this chat with Bob Bowie, we explore what we mean by spirituality and how neuro science is discovering the benefits of spiritual practices. we unpack three ways spirituality can underpin what we do in schools to support our young people;

  • Threading it through our curriculum

  • Supporting the spiritual growth of our children (and staff)

  • Using spiritual pedagogical practices

Spirituality is indiscriminate but needs defined language which RE has a unique position to create.  Listen to the end for the wonderful story of Saint Ignatius who started the Jesuit movement.

There are four links we mention in the chat;

How to support The RE Podcast

I want to continue to create the RE Podcast as a FREE resource for teachers. However, there are runnings costs. I have to pay a monthly fee to Buzzsprout to host the podcast, I have to pay a fee for the website and the email address, I have to pay a fee to riverside fm to let me record interviews, plus the recording equipment has been a huge investment and needs updating..

There are THREE ways to support;

1) A one off gift at my Buy Me A Coffee page

2) Become and Patreon and give monthly where you will get extra content for FREE.

3) If you can't support financially, please leave a review on apple podcasts
