S4: E3: The One About Narcissism

Updated: May 24, 2022

In this episode I explore the idea of Narcissism. It is a slight diversion from my normal topics but one I think is helpful for all educators to be aware of, not only for their own experiences and relationships but also to potentially support children you come in contact with. It is a topic very close to my heart and is steeped in ideas about kindness which is central to all religions. In this episide I interview someone who has experience abuse at the hands of a narssicist. We talk about her ideas about what narssicism is, early warning signs, how to get help and how to recover. It is a deeply personal interview. For obvious reasons, names have not been used in this episode.

Here is a link to Melanie Tonia Evans website - the current leading expert on Narssicistic Abusive Relationsips. We also discuss somatic experiencing - a trauma healing programme which can support recovery from Narssicistic Abusive Relationsips.

How to support The RE Podcast

I want to continue to create the RE Podcast as a FREE resource for teachers. However, there are runnings costs. I have to pay a monthly fee to Buzzsprout to host the podcast, I have to pay a fee for the website and the email address, I have to pay a fee to riverside fm to let me record interviews, plus the recording equipment has been a huge investment and needs updating..

There are THREE ways to support;

1) A one off gift at my Buy Me A Coffee page

2) Become and Patreon and give monthly where you will get extra content for FREE.

3) If you can't support financially, please leave a review on apple podcasts
